Worship Center Progress Oct. 16th

The transformation of the Worship Center space is moving quickly!

Here are a few classic radio hits to help with this weekend’s updates:

🎶 When the walls, come tumblin’ down . . . 🎶

It might feel a bit like the story in the Gospels when the friends of the man climb up and open a hole in the roof to help their friend get in to see Jesus.

Rest assured, you won’t need to climb up on the roof to get in, but things are changing fast!

The work inside the Worship Center has progressed to the point that the back wall and doorways have been removed.

You heard it right! As part of the construction plan, the block wall in the back hallway will eventually become the new back wall of the Worship Center.

The side walls aren’t going anywhere, just getting a facelift.

🎶 Walk right in... sit right down . . . 🎶

For now, room-divider partitions will be used to maintain a clearly defined ‘hallway’ along the back

There will be ‘doorway’ openings between the dividers in multiple places to allow easy passage in and out of the worship space.

As you come through the partitions, you’ll have the option to go toward the side angled aisle or toward the center aisle.

The donuts and coffee will be in their usual spots.

🎶 Ch-ch-ch-ch- changes!. . . 🎶

The tech barge will also look a little different this week. It's sliding a few feet sideways toward the center.

The barge will eventually be replaced by an all-new, wider tech space along the back – where the hallway is now!

🎶 . . . voices carry . . . 🎶

With the back wall removed, the sound from the services will fill the entire upper level area.

Likewise, any sound created in the hallways will carry clearly into the worship space.

During this phase of the project, we’re asking everyone to be mindful of limiting sounds in the hallways while services are in progress.

🎶 Big girls don’t cry… 🎶

(But let’s be honest – we all do, sometimes!)

The Cry Room is under construction and will be unavailable this weekend.

We hope to have the Cry Room re-opened in two weeks.

We’ll have a couple of comfy chairs inside the new Welcome Center if you and your little one need a place to escape for a few minutes.

🎶 Hello . . . Is it me you’re looking for? 🎶

The Welcome Center is relocating!

Starting this weekend, the Welcome Center can be found just inside the set of double doors in the west hallway (the side to your left as you’re seated in the worship center).

We’ll have the Welcome Center sign hanging from the ceiling so it’ll be easy to find.

Our team will be there, ready to greet you and have a conversation or answer any questions you have.

Stop on by!

🎶 Keep on rollin’... roll with the changes . . . 🎶

As you weather these changes, you’re commended for ‘taking one for the team’, sacrificing comfort and enduring obstacles and less-than-ideal aesthetics over the course of these weeks to allow for long-awaited refurbishments to be made… exciting changes that will lead to new possibilities for carrying out our mission to invite others into the family of God and equip ourselves and others to be disciples of Jesus.

The space will continue to rapidly transform all around you! Come and see!

See you in worship!
